BANGIN’ BREAKFAST POTATOES

Image
BANGIN’ BREAKFAST POTATOES I start with my cast iron skillet. Any skillet will work, but just remember the darker the skillet the darker your product. Dice up the potatoes, toss them in minimal olive oil, and cook them up until nice and brown. Just as the pan is au sec, or nearly dry, throw in some diced raw bacon. Dicing raw bacon can be a pain and I’ve seen some resulting knife cuts, so just before your potatoes start to cook throw the bacon in the freezer! Dicing frozen bacon will change your life. Forever.  The bacon will render which will further cook the potatoes and add a whole new level of flavor. Speaking of flavor, I season my potatoes with salt, pepper, and Old Bay. The key is to lightly season throughout the entire cooking process, that way you build flavor.  Golden brown potato bites cooked in crispy bacon, aromatic garlic, and caramelized with delicious sweet maple syrup. A delicious breakfast treat! Ingredients 3 medium golden potatoes - skin on 1 tablespoon oli...

Chunky Monkey Brownies

Image
Chunky Monkey Brownies Chunky Monkey Brownies are so sensational you will drool while you’re eating them. No kidding. I know you are probably tired of me raving about the richness and decadence of a specific dessert. I just can’t help it. Instead of using regular chocolate chips I used Hershey’s new baking melts in the brownie and then used chocolate chips on top. Oh, my. Chocolate just explodes in your mouth with every bite. The Baking Melts are much larger than chocolate chips so it’s like having miniature chocolate candies inside. Loved ’em! 🙂 I had an overabundance of bananas on my hands last month. John was out of town for a week and, before he left, he purchased several big batches of bananas. I think I had about 15-20 bananas I needed to get rid of. So, I started checking out Pinterest for ideas on goodies I could make using overripe bananas. I found several recipes I decided to make, including this one based on a Mark Bittman Recipe. While I normally would have made this recip...

Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice Soup

Image
Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice Soup Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice Soup is an easy slow cooker chicken soup recipe. All of the raw ingredients go in the slow cooker and a delicious soup awaits for dinner. What I love most about this Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice Soup is the blend of seasonings. They give this soup just the right amount of flavor to complement the chicken and rice. Be sure to use seasonings that are still fresh. If they have been sitting in the pantry for over 6 months, they will not taste as vibrant. If I have a seasoning that is losing it’s flavor, I grind it a little between my fingers before adding it to the soup. This will bring out more of the taste and smell. Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice Soup is an easy chicken soup recipe. All of the raw ingredients go in the slow cooker and a delicious soup awaits for dinner. Ingredients 3 chicken breasts, trimmed of fat and cut in half 1 cup parboiled rice (also called converted rice) 1 small onion, chopped 3 carrots, chopped 3 cel...

Keto Breakfast Bread (Six Ingredients + 30 Minutes!)

Image
Keto Breakfast Bread (Six Ingredients + 30 Minutes!) If you’re following a ketogenic diet, chances are you’ve enjoyed a lot of breakfasts featuring the old-fashioned standby of bacon and eggs. But don’t you sometimes miss a crusty slice of buttered toast to sop up those nutrient-dense yolks and make your breakfast feel complete? Unfortunately, once you learn the harms of eating wheat and grains (or have a condition that makes these foods a no-go), that warm and crusty slice disappears from your breakfast plate. Wheat Bread versus Keto Breakfast Bread As you probably know, in addition to wheat adding excess carbohydrates to your diet, it can also cause serious problems for your health. Even if you’re among those that don’t suffer from Celiac disease, gluten and the many other proteins in wheat can disrupt your digestive comfort and overall health. One of these proteins, known as gliadin, can cause the lining of your gut to become more permeable. This “leaky gut” can lead to inflammation...

Oreo Fudge Cheesecake

Image
I have another admission. I didn't make the cheesecake either. It's crafted by a portion of my different flunkies. They by and large allude to themselves as "the cooking class" which my more seasoned sister instructs. They are the best bundle of tweens and they can ACTUALLY COOK. I know. So at this point you're pondering internally, "How could you dare to post this cheesecake, you rascal! How could you assume praise for something that you had no part in! How could you befoul these lovely provincial sheets with your apathy!" All things considered, I don't censure you for speculation these things, since I have not yet referenced that I am the person who made this excellent hot fudge. They're as light and fresh and mushy as their locally acquired partner — without every one of those counterfeit fixings. While I don't pursue the keto diet myself, my interest was provoked when I saw this formula thought. Not happy with a portion of the viral renditions I experienced, I set out to make a simple form you can make at home, so you can eat a more beneficial Cheeto at whatever point a hankering strikes. Spinach Berry Beet Smoothie

Image
In the event that you like beets, and regardless of whether you don't, you should take a jump out one of these an attempt. I use to dependably consider Beets an appetizing thing however they work in both sweet and exquisite dishes and smoothies. Beets can be improved up with the correct natural product blends or taken progressively appetizing by going heavier on the veggie or flavor side. This purple tinted smoothie calls to me with the beets, blended berries, almond milk, spinach and banana. The greatest disadvantage to a green smoothie can here and there be the dreadful shading that outcomes in your blender container. I've seen some terrible looking blends – doesn't mean they taste awful yet it beyond any doubt is simpler to gulp back a gorgeous and extraordinary tasting refreshment. The spinach berry beet smoothie checks both boxes. You know what I adore most about smoothies? No pausing… I'm not the most patient individual and I value the straightforwardness and effo...
